"From Struggle to Success: Muna Karki's Story of Water Access and Renewed Hope"

I’m Muna Karki, a 27-year-old dedicated mother of two sons, resides in a bustling household of eight. I have a cosmetic shop and my husband is a pharmacist and manages a medical shop. It’s been five years since I came to this village after marriage. My family grappled with the challenge of water scarcity, a journey that takes half-hour trek on slippery roads to fetch 5-7 gallons of water daily.
The burden of fetching water before work and school was immense, necessitating early mornings and making it difficult for me to provide proper attention to the children and my work. However, my life took a positive turn as my children began school, allowing me to dedicate the early morning hours, once spent fetching water, to teach my children and tending to cattle’s needs.
The recent installation of a tap stand near my home in our courtyard has been a game-changer. It has alleviated the need for arduous water-fetching trips, granting me more time to nurture my children’s education and tend to our cattle. Health concerns related to water scarcity are now a thing of the past. This transformation has rejuvenated my family, bringing a newfound balance to our daily routine and fostering an atmosphere of learning and care within our home.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude towards the organization for this unexpected water facility in my house yard and so much thankful for the tremendous impact by drinking water project on my life as well as on community
