Primary Health Program

United Vision Nepal’s Primary Health Programmes are dedicated to promoting holistic well-being in rural Nepal, with a particular focus on nutrition, hygiene, sanitation, menstrual hygiene, and safer motherhood. In regions where access to healthcare is limited, we strive to improve the overall health and quality of life for individuals and communities.

Our programmes address various aspects of primary health, starting with nutrition education and support. Through targeted interventions, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of balanced diets, breastfeeding practices, and nutritional supplementation, particularly among vulnerable populations such as children and pregnant women.

In addition to nutrition, we prioritize hygiene and sanitation initiatives to prevent the spread of diseases and improve overall health outcomes. By promoting proper handwashing techniques, safe water storage practices, and access to clean water and sanitation facilities, we empower communities to maintain hygienic living environments.

Furthermore, our programmes include menstrual hygiene education and support, recognizing the significant impact of menstrual health on women’s overall well-being. Through education on menstrual hygiene management and the provision of sanitary products, we aim to ensure that women and girls can manage their periods safely and with dignity.

Lastly, our Primary Health Programmes encompass initiatives to support safer motherhood practices, including prenatal care, skilled birth attendance, and postnatal support. By providing access to essential maternal healthcare services and promoting healthy pregnancy and childbirth practices, we strive to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates and improve maternal and child health outcomes.

Through these comprehensive health interventions, United Vision Nepal is committed to promoting primary healthcare access and empowering individuals and communities to lead healthier lives. Together, we work towards building a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive in good health.
