Clean Energy Triumph: Bhagrati Chaudhary's Biogas Journey

Bhagrati Chaudhary, a 50-year-old farmer from Kunjakali Village, takes immense pride in her role as the head of a family of five. With a 5 kattha agricultural farm to tend to, she felt the weight of responsibility for her family’s well-being. However, their household faced a significant challenge – the adverse health effects caused by smoke from firewood and dung-cakes. Determined to find solutions, Bhagrati wanted out alternatives to tackle these issues one by one.
Upon learning about biogas and the services provided by United Vision Nepal, Bhagrati reached out for help. After consulting with them, she decided to construct a 6m3 biogas plant, a medium-sized option available at the time. The prospect of resolving her family’s problems through this technology filled her with excitement and hope. In 2023, the biogas plant was constructed for her family to resolve the existing problems.
Since its installation, the biogas plant has transformed their lives. Bhagrati diligently feeds the plant with animal dung, which, in turn, produces biogas. This innovative solution not only eliminated the health issues caused by smoke but also provided a sustainable source of energy for their household needs. Grateful and content, Bhagrati Chaudhary expresses her happiness and deep gratitude to United Vision Nepal for providing her family with this life-changing and beneficial solution.
