"Empowered by Education: Hira Chaudhary's Journey to Literacy"

My name is Hira Chaudhary, aged 37, born in Kailali district. I come from a family of two sisters and two younger brothers, with my father being a landlord. Despite my desire for education, I was unable to pursue it due to household responsibilities, especially caring for my frequently ill mother.
After getting married, I found myself selling vegetables in the market, often falling victim to customers cheating me due to my inability to calculate. This past disappointment lingered until I finally had the chance to attend a three-month literacy class through another organization in my old age. However, attending regularly was challenging due to my young daughter.
Now, I’m grateful for the opportunity to attend regular literacy classes organized by UVN. I am determined to overcome past challenges by learning to read and write fluently. My goals include keeping track of expenses and improving my calculating skills. I am thankful to the UVN team for this invaluable opportunity.
