"Flowing Towards Change: Manmaya Nembang's Triumph Over Water Scarcity"

In our quaint home, I, Manmaya Nembang, a devoted 54-year-old housewife, have witnessed the strength of resilience within our family. My husband, hardworking farmer, and our son pursuing a career abroad, complete our family of six, which includes three beloved daughters. For a staggering 25 years, water scarcity loomed over our lives, forcing us on relentless quests for water sources. This scarcity made simple tasks like cooking and laundering incredibly challenging. Each day began with an early search for water, a tiresome routine that often-consumed hours. Waiting in long lines, sometimes for more than an hour, became the norm. The lack of alternatives forced us to consume tainted water, risking our health. The desperation occasionally led to conflicts with others, as everyone struggled with the scarcity of water. Then came a beacon of hope a tap stand installed in our yard, a dramatic change in our circumstances. No longer did we have to embark on arduous water-hunting missions. We could wake up a bit later, enjoy better sleep, and revel in the luxury of a steady water supply. This transformation revitalized our lives, allowing me to actively contribute to farming alongside my husband. Our hearts are brimming with gratitude as we acknowledge the organization for making this possible and alleviating the burden of water scarcity.
