Sangita Sada's Path to Nutritional Empowerment

Sangita Sada, a resident of Kamalpur Village 2 in Saptari District, attended a nutrition training organized by United Vision Nepal when she was 24. Unaware of the health impacts of different foods previously, the training highlighted the risks associated with consuming market foods, leading to diseases and unhealthy habits. She discovered the nutritional value of locally available green vegetables and seasonal fruits. Realizing the harm caused by market foods, especially to her children’s health, Sangita significantly reduced their intake. She now prioritizes a balanced diet to prevent severe health issues and successfully eliminated her family’s reliance on cold drinks. Sangita acknowledges United Vision Nepal for educating her community about nutrient deficiencies and the risks of depending on market foods.
