"Flow of Freedom: Shanti Bishwokarma's Triumph Over Water Scarcity"

I am Shanti Bishwokarma, a 50-year-old woman supporting my two sons and one daughter. My husband works as a farmer, and I assist him on the farm. The struggle with water scarcity has been a painful memory for us. Waking up in the dark, waiting for hours to collect water from a distant source – those times were filled with hardship. Carrying water uphill from the deep-down water source to our home caused back and leg pain due to the multiple trips required.
Our house, situated at the higher end of the village, made the task even more strenuous. However, with the introduction of a tap stand at our home, those painful days are now a thing of the past. Now, in just a few minutes, I can easily fetch 3-4 gallons of water, erasing my health issues like back pain. This newfound convenience has notably improved my well-being and allows me to wholeheartedly support my husband on the farm and care for our cattle.
The transformation in our lives, courtesy of this impactful water project, has brought immense happiness. We’re grateful for the life-saving change it has brought to our village. The ease of water access has uplifted our spirits, and I express heartfelt thanks to the organization for their incredible work that has profoundly changed our lives.
