Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)

Welcome to United Vision Nepal’s comprehensive Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Project, dedicated to providing clean and safe drinking water to rural communities throughout Nepal. In partnership with local stakeholders, we are implementing a range of initiatives to address water access challenges and promote health and hygiene.

Our project encompasses the construction and distribution of piped water systems, sourced from springs in hilly areas, as well as the installation of lift water systems and handpumps. Additionally, we are implementing water purification measures such as Bio-Sand Filters (BSF) for households and schools, ensuring that water is free from contaminants.

Furthermore, our WASH project includes extensive health, hygiene, and sanitation training for water user beneficiaries. Through these training sessions, community members learn essential practices to maintain clean water sources and prevent waterborne diseases, promoting overall well-being.

In addition to water access, we are also focusing on improving sanitation infrastructure. This includes the construction of latrines in schools and households, contributing to better hygiene practices and reducing the spread of disease. Moreover, we are implementing household biogas latrine construction, providing an environmentally friendly solution for waste management.

Through these holistic efforts, we aim to empower communities, enhance health outcomes, and foster sustainable development in rural Nepal. Join us in our mission to create lasting change and ensure that every individual has access to clean water and sanitation facilities.
